Vincent Joseph McNeill

Dad was born in Treen, Castlerea, Co Roscommon in 1933

He came to London in the early 1950’s where he met Kathleen Fahey in the Shandon in Romford. They
married on the 4th April 1959.

They raised 2 children together – myself and John. Dad had 4 grandchildren – my daughters Megan
and Bronagh and John’s children who are Caitlin and Karl.

Dad was very proud to be asked to be Godfather to Una Marie Fahey in 1989.

For the last 35 years of his working life he was in the PTA in Fords based in Dagenham.

His retirement was kept busy with the school runs!

In 1996 we suffered the huge loss of our beloved Mum, Kathleen.

Dad was diagnosed was Emphysema in 2000 which got slowly and steadily worse. He slipped away on the
evening of Sunday the 8th Feb and we are grateful to have been with him.

Dad was hard working, regimental, quick-witted and very stubborn!

He leaves a big gap in my life and will be missed by all who knew him.
